Ya have to be into history, but I found this on FB...Ray Mears does a very nice job in his 3 part American westward expansion series.
Then, I saw the 6 part northern wilderness series about Canada. It's really good, with a nice soundtrack, too. each is an hour long (NO COMMERCIALS) Check it out...Here's the first segment of the Canadian series. I've watched 4 of them already. From there, you can get links to the others and the American series, if interested.

Not many think about Canada even in the summer. That probably explains why 2 out of every 3 cars on the trans Canada highway in Northern Ontario is wearing American tags.

I was in Jasper a few weeks ago, and off the top of my head I saw the following plates:
Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, New Jersey, Florida, Nebraska and probably a few others I am forgetting.
