Indeed,....and a credible tribe of ex-pats have been globe trotting for years, ... confident in knowing that that facility was THERE, should one sucumb to any number of maladies.
Doesn't look to be any middle ground on this one,...an issue that will continue to be plagued with craziness and extremism.

Lets all hope we don't get a real close look at how it works. The CDC has had a few missteps recently. If this sucker gets lose it won't be like anything we have ever seen before. Just A thought but it might be a good time to shut off the flow of potential carriers across the southern border. Consider one deliberately infected terrorist over the border and into a major city. ...Our people want/need to get hands on this disease in a controlled environment. AMEN! The sooner we get a handle on this, the better. There is a lot to be learned about how this beast works! Ed there's not a perfect or fail-safe system out there anywhere that I know of. antrax and smallpox have been in the news related to the CDC just recently.

Our people want/need to get hands on this disease in a controlled environment. Like we don't have a biological warfare group sitting around with a supply on hand. I suspect it's been well researched.

Like, we probably don't have this variant of Ebola on hand.
It is behaving very differently than previous Ebola virus outbreaks, which means it's probably mutated in one or more critical genes, and our virologists need to get hands on it and find out how it's changed and how it might be defeated.
Or, if you're right and we DO have this virus on hand, that would mean that someone took it out of the lab and introduced the virus into the population in Africa, either deliberately or accidentally... which I personally consider an appalling thought, and highly unlikely.

Hmm.... Bringing 2 known carriers of Ebola (a virus with a 60-90% attrition rate & NO known cure) in to the continental United States, in the hands of a Government agency at a time when most of us (those with common sense) are questioning whether the current administration has our best interests in mind (think open borders, Bengazi, Fast n Furious).
What could possible go wrong?

word on the street is that at least one patient is flying into Cobb county in NW Atl area, and going on to Emory hospital on the other side of town.
that'd be scheduled for Monday, and the Pentagon is calling the shots?
so, the other patients location is yet to be announced.
so, there's nothing much to see. just a disease from one side of the world being shipped to the other side of the world under strict human control.

I get the distinct idea that both patients are going to be in the same care facility?
check wsbtv.com for latest updates as approved by the powers that be.
the doctors don't seem to be the least bit scared.
I do remember smallpox kilt a lot of Native Americans, but it wasn't done on purpose.
I wonder how the breakdown in the system occurred, to allow the two American patients to become infected? lack of resources, maybe?

I just heard from Fox, related to the debacle.
I wonder why the diseased territories aren't being compartmentalized to reduce the likelihood of spread?
maybe they are being compartmentalized, and they've not yet told us?
in other words, how does the human genetics work to shut down the spread of the disease from beyond it's current boundaries?
is the UN involved?
we don't need to hear from a bunch of PR people, we want to hear the words emanating from the mouths of the Doctors who are actually involved. the PR people can take a break.
