Looking for a new rig in 7mm WSM. There doesn,t seem to be a lot of manufactures producing new rifles in this round.Any suggestions?

Unless your sitting on a boat load of 162's, there's 2 other WSM's that'll take care of business.

Let me get my flame suit on....

As an aficionado of the 7mm WSM I am disappointed that new brass is not available where I look.

I just had to have one so I do however I better not forget my ammo as it's not out there.

What with the new bullets the 270 WSM and 300 WSM will do about the same.

The headspace on the 7mm WSM is longer than the other WSM's. Not easy to just neck something down.

The Kimber 8400 Montana 270 WSM is a nice rifle.

Actually shot one this past weekend that my uncle just purchased through Gander Mountain. A Browning Stainless Stalker X-bolt. Out of all the x-bolts that i've had and still have, I dislike that one the most. I'm glad it's not mine. I dont care for the fit or the accuracy of that particular rifle. I shot two different factory loads in that rifle, and can honestly say that i am not impressed. The recoil is noticeably more even when strapped down in my Hyskore shooting rest compared to my 7 RM. To me, the gun is obnoxious.

I'll play...if only for the pending humor.

'200,

Go Montucky, whether OEM or a Custom dupe.

Yes...I've got both.

'bore,

What is this 162 of which you speak? I'd like to try them, but I bet they don't fly or kill as well as a Partition!

I've not shot all of the Whizzums, let alone in multiple platforms/blueprints. I bet there's no difference between 'em.

Hint.(grin)

'mark,

You really should oughtta work on your Browning Sales Pitch. Laffin'!

Hardly a [bleep] "secret",that the Browning is one of THE biggest pieces of [bleep] schit going. Do tell about your HighZoot Top Flight Goat [bleep] "rest" and mebbe touch on recoil a wee bit more, because it's so [bleep] funny. Points awarded for touching upon mounting systems, glass and rifle weight,in conjunction with ammo "particulars".

I'd say sumptin' about a teenage girl toting the chambering from hell to breakfast, but your feelers would get hurt and you'd clam up. Laffin'!

Mebbe just 1000 words.

Some guy in Alaska mentioned them. Can't get them anymore, don't try.
Better snug the straps, I should be picking up a Montucky in your FAVORITE chambering this week.

What would it run to have an 8400 rebarreled?

Boxer,

You have a very pretty kid. I just can't figure out why you cannot be nice.

Reagan had his 11th commandment. I have one of my own: never degrade another's rifle. Remember that many hunters don't have access to resources that they can spend on rifles. For many hunters, a Walmart promotional rifle is all they can afford.

I have a Belgian Browning BAR in .338 Win Mag. It is a beautiful rifle. I've fired it exactly three times and that was 30 years ago. It is extremely well crafted. While I've never tested mine for accuracy, I've read & heard that BAR's can rival bolt action accuracy.

The reason I've never hunted with it is because I've never hunted anything that my 7MM Rem Mag couldn't handle.

It's about as easy as it gets. You call yourself an aficionado?

You have trouble with reading?

BTW, the down low on you is that RuPaul says that you never stop.

Yeah, I can read. But I like to actually go hunting too. You should try it some time.

Rand Paul's illegitimate brother. With a name like smokepole, you invite that kind of jabbing. And other kinds of jabbing.

Sorry, couldn't resist...
