The cataract surgery is set for May 15, but then we'll do the other eye, so I may not be up for the opener. Not that the opener is a big deal in an 8-nonth season Maybe I'll just use the .410 pistol (T/C) until I can see rifle sights again. If I can see the squirrel.

I agree with you about our liberal season. I hunt until I killed enough for awhile, then switch to bluegill fishing,then back at it again. Life is good!

When I can see to do it, I'll get out Grandpa's target rifle and cap a few. I like to shoot that old rifle once in a while for old time's sake - and because any misses are on me.

Wayne, for Mother's Day to see her kids. My step daughter's boy friend took me shroom hunting, out at his deer hunting woods. we had a nice Saturday afternoon. we didn't find a ton of em, but most of them were huge! I fried them up with seasoned flour and butter, in a cast iron skillet. YUMMY! maddog
