BTW, just been eyeballing the two and despite what the box says, I dont believe the 210 ABLR to have a higher G1 than the 230 OTM, G7 on the Noz wont be that high either.

Flight will tell the rest of the story.

2900 is cruisin out of a 300 win. I'm only getting 100fps more out of a 30-378, RUMS are running at 2950, 26" tubes.

My thoughts too, 28"s of barrel [no brake] and Retumbo seems to be getting along very well with the big 230 OTM's so far.

Foamed out the barrel after 30 rounds fired with very little fouling residue, another plus.

I can't find the post now but Brian litz tested the BC of all the accubond long range bullets. It was very interesting and I'll try to find it. He tested a lot of rates of twist also.

The 30cal in a 10 twist were fairly close to published.

Litz's results were a .646 G1 and a .331 G7 in a 1-10 twist for the 210 ABLR.

Its on long range hunting forum. I just can't locate it yet.

John- do you have the chart Bryan posted? It was pretty interesting seeing the SG with rate of twist changes?

805,

Yeah, I've got the results. Don't want to post it here due to copyright stuff, but it is interesting. The ABLR that comes out best is the 129 6.5, which in a 1-8 twist is basically dead-nuts as advertised.

There's a bunch of excellent info on how twist affects BC in Bryan's latest book, MODERN ADVANCEMENTS IN LONG-RANGE SHOOTING, VOL. 1. In fact the entire book is full of great research and results. For anybody who has his first book, this one's a great follow-up and just as essential.

805, is it here at the 'fires long range hunting forum or somewhere else on the www?

Thanks
Gunner

I am planning to get his book very soon. I know Bryan is also testing the matrix bullets as well. I can't tell you how many times he has explained or helped with so many questions I've had. Great guy!
