I am thinking of having the bolt on my 223ai bushed. Who would you guys recommend to do this? Also, what is a normal turn around time and cost of something like this. I am getting excessive cratering on my primers and the loads are just FF loads. I have used them in many guns and never had the problem before.

Gre Tan is the guy for this as Butch said. $80 to bush bolt and turn the firing pin, $7 shipping. 5-10 day turnaround time. http://gretanrifles.com/services/viewEntry.jsf

Thanks guys!!! That is exactly what I was looking for. I watched his YouTube video about what his bushing does. Very informative. I will be sending in at least one bolt. Maybe more.
This is the reason I love this sight. A guy can always get his questions answered by the knowledgable guys here!!

+1 for Gre Tan. Very quick turn-around. I had my bolt back within 8 days--that's including the transit time to get there. Last year I had a bolt bushed before sending it off to LongRifles Inc for a 6.5x47L build.

Reno Greg is the man and you will be very happy and his work is awesome. I've had him bush a few bolts and all are seamless and work great.

Greg is over a year out on "builds." He knocks out things like bushed bolts really quick though.

As was posted, GreTan was a year out on builds. LRI had the group buy going and I had my completed barrel action back in one month. The thing with a long turn around time is I'll probably lose interest and moved on to better things once the completed build gets back to me. OR, I may find a comparable build in the used market and buy that instead. NO dis-respect to gunsmiths out there, but that's how I feel...

Did you people read his post? He asked about bushing his firing pin in his bolt body, not a build. I can give you names of smiths that may be good enough to be 3-4 years behind.

Greg Tannel-GreTan Rifles. A very quick turn around. Contact him for pricing. I have not had him do this specific work, but sent him a bolt with some other issues to be addressed last spring and it was completed quickly and included a personal phone call from him to me to get it done. Will use him again for minor stuff and would also gladly wait for him on a build

Did you read your own post? You are the one that asked a poster why he didn't just have Greg do the build instead of sending it to Dixon. I replied to your statement. Greg is over a year out, that is why I only use him for stuff like bolt work, which he knocks out right away.
