Maybe we have someone here who has conducted tests or read about testing the hardness of different primers. I would like to know what is the small rifle primer with the hardest cup. Anyone have info on this?

My guess is the CCI 41. The "military" version to prevent AR slamfires. Other companies make a similar primer.
CCI small pistol primers have a reputation for being the hardest. Guys who do uber-trigger jobs on Glocks sometimes can only get them to be functional with any primer besides a CCI, as they are too hard for the reduced mass/springs to ignite.

Well, Calhoon had that published my junior year of high school, and it's relatively common knowledge the 450 and 7 1/2 are the most thickest cups.
So when he typed "hardest" as opposed to "thickest" I assumed he was looking for some information that was not readily available.
And since I don't have that information, yes. Instant dick joke.
