Anyone know what the current overnight rate (single room) at the Afton House is? Their web site does not list rates, as far as I can tell.
I never thought I'd grow up to be a grumpy old man, but I did, and I'm killin' it.

Just put clients up there a few weeks ago. Don't hold me to it but if I remember correctly it was right around a hundred US per night. This includes breakfast

My wife and I stayed at the Afton House, and the rooms were very clean, and the staff was great. I want to say we paid right at about $100.00 per night. The only complaint, is that we paid for a steak dinner the night we got there, and the steaks were not that great. Besides that, no complaints.

Was there in late July, believe it was $100 and included breakfast.

I stayed at Afton House the first two trips. Since then I've just stayed at the airport. Had a great experience with Afton House, but felt the airport notes had better rooms, food and closer to facilities. Both about the same price.
Beware of thieves, scammers and dishonest members on the "Fire" classifieds. Ya there is a thief here too. Whatever!!

I stayed at Afton House in July, they also handled my rifle permit, it was around $150 US for both (maybe a touch more) It's a welcome relief after the flight over and breakfast is included and return service. Also, I did not know about the extra $25 steak dinner, it was good and I'd take advantage of it again, just something I'd like to have known ahead of time. Very friendly and courteous staff, wonderful stay.
Next time I may do African sky just to be different.
