I usually prefer German or Czech made pellets, some American stuff too. Picked up some Chinese made Daisy flat nosed pellets in .22 for my Crosman 2240 pistol, it is dark gray colored, which I assume is unwashed as I have heard that some of the Cheap Chinese stuff is like that.

Put about 35 rounds of it through my pistol and the bore looks fine, is there a risk of having the cheap unwashed pellets fouling my barrel? I suspect this is potentially more of a problem with the rifles as they have a higher velocity than my Co2 pistol.

I haven't "washed" any pellets, ever.
All of my guns, Co2, pump, springers and rams haven't lost any accuracy with dirty pellets. In fact, all of my guns are still holing zero since the day they were mounted with their scopes, with dirty pellets, years ago.
Some say it does make a difference, personally, whatever, I'm not washing them. My guns hit what I aim at with dirty pellets, and it's just more unnecessary work.
But if you feel you need to wash them, have at it. If you're going to shoot in competition you're going to need every advantage you can get. Can't hurt. Maybe.

pellets either but I've also never used any of the Chinese pellets. When my accuracy falls off, I can pretty much attribute it to the nut behind the trigger.

I'll have to look at the boxes to see where they are made, but I've fired several tins of Daisy pellets and haven't had any accuracy in issues in either my R7 .117 or Benjamin 22.
