Years ago I bought a bag of nosler blem 3030 bullets to try in my 308....I didnt own a 3030.
Well never got around to putting em in my 308 as a buddy sold me his 3030 which turned out to be a tack driver.
That excitement led me to buy a marlin Texan....which led to a marlin 35 which led to a hard to find marlin 35 dt......which led to a marlin 357 and a 3030 barrel for my contender.
So...as anyone can see....these ideas of "trying" bullets in other guns can be very expensive....lol!

I've been shooting Speer 170gr FP bullets @ 2450-2500fps for about 20 years. Never, ever had an issue if I placed them correctly. I've shot about 25 deer with this bullet out to 200 yards with a Remington 7600 in 308 Win with a peep sight, into the shoulder makes for a quicker kill, however they work behind the shoulder as well.

Have fun and shoot 'em up, Tom

John, if you section one of those 170 RNCL all doubts will disappear. They have a heavier jacket than speer or sierra or hornady 180 gr round noses. They appear just like the Rem 180 RN.

I'm sure. When I get home from work in a couple weeks I'm gonna do some wet newsprint penetration testing to see how they do and post the findings here. Might even do a YouTube video of it.........LOL!!!
