Just put a set of extra lows on my LA M700 with a Leupold 3-9x33 Ultralight. I can shoot you a pic and post it if you don't get any other responses if it will help you. With this set up I had to grind the base of the rear slightly to clear the power adjustment ring and had to grind the front base slightly to clear the objective bell. The lows would have been fine.
I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all. Jack O'Connor

Thank you, probably wil go with the lows myself. Scope is a 3-9 Conquest, huge eyepiece, don't want to do any grinding!

UncleSoapy, lows should be fine. I've got a couple of 40mm scopes in ex-lows, but not on a 700. There is .10" difference in the height of the lows and the ex-lows. Also, like Blacktailer, I've had to take a little off the top shoulder of the base portion in a couple of applications. No problem at all. Just file down what you need to and hit it with a Sharpie marker. John

John John, I actually just used my Dremel with a sanding drum and relieved a groove in the back mount and a slight half cone shape in the front. Neither is visible with the scope mounted but I did do the sharpie trick.
