Anybody have one of these? How are they? Seems like a good rifle for the money.

They seem to get ok reviews for what they are, I personally wouldn't buy one. Not a Mossberg fan here.

If you want a bolt gun with a magazine, look for one that you can add AICS compatible bottom metal to (Winchester/FN, Remington, Tikka, etc...). IMO, thats the only way to do it right.

Wanna say 38 clams a pop.................

Well, I really like the Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle but its a bit pricey. This seemed like an affordable alternative and I like that it comes in 5.56.

This COAL conversation has come up before. I can see the value of a lower and magazines that are somewhere between an AR10 and the current crop of AR 15's. Unfortunately, it would take a complete mindset change by manufacturers and maybe with customers to make it happen. This might more easily be done with a bolt action than a semi auto. kwg

They are good rifles for the price.

A kid (16) ran that rifle at ThunderRanch. Worked well.

Shot very well.

It ain't a GAP or a Noveske, but a solid rifle nonetheless.

A bolt gun wearing '15 mags,is the last thing I'd suffer.

It's ALL about bullets.

Right BS, but the issue with the bullets is limited by the length/width of the magazine. The Swiss built their Mausers (6.5x55) with a slightly longer box to accommodate the bullet. The results has always been an accurate rifle built on the small Mauser receiver. I'm thinking a slightly larger receiver and magazine would allow the aerodynamically improved bullet (77 grains plus) to fit in something .223. kwg

I thought I mentioned COAL being the '15 platform bane and something I'd not suffer in a boltgun.

My bad...................

Well the military runs all the way up to 77 grain SMK's in those AR mags. I don't know how much more you could want or need?

Weight has no bearing,it's ALL about profile(BC).

The 77's are phuqqing TURDS in comparison...due their schit profile, expressly designed to fit schit COAL confines.

FWIW:

I have watched a Noveske 16" AR send 77 grainers into steel all the way out to 900 yards/800 meters.

(Black Hills Match Ammo).
