Bi pod prone sight and practice like your hunting. there are no tables to shoot from where I hunt and those rests look to heavy to pack around. When practicing i do use a shooting mat to keep dry rains a lot here and ground is always wet.

I made a big heavy 3-legged bench from treated wood. Have bags on top of that. Works fine.

Your not kidding. Very good shooting!!! I'm sure that's not your regular run of the mill hunting rifle right there. Jeffbird, care to share some details on your rifle? Thanks bud..

For rodents, I like a Varmint Master up high with a Dog Gone Good V bag in front and wedge in the rear.

For ruminants, I like a bipod in front and rear bag hanging from the sling, and a cheek pouch. Just like Montana Marine in the precious post, but right handed.

Bag and bipod. Of course learning to properly load a bipod is a whole other subject.

Even more important when shooting semi autos such as an SR-25. Follow through and loading the bipod is critical.

I used to use a green portable bench I had for years, but Sportsman's had another bench on sale earlier this year. I got it and it is more stable and has a 360 degree swivel which makes it perfect for field use. Sandbags filled with wheat make great supports for a rock solid platform.

We had all kinds at the Invitational, Travis likes the bucket...

I have a 100 yd range here at the house that use for testing, I mostly just shoot prone.

However recently I purchased a bald eagle front rest with the windage adjustment. For the money and being new to f class, I am quite pleased with it.
