Are any of the reloading softwares capable of calculating wildcat calibers? (270 Redding specifically for this exercise). Just wondering if any of these programs allow entering variable case dimensions.

If you enter known data, like case capacity, shoulder angle, case diameter/taper, etc. an algorithm should be able to get you within a few percent of real performance, yes?

I'm not sure I'm answering your question, but I recently used a copy of QuickDesign to capture the dimensions of an largely unknown wildcat from the late '60s. (I literally took measurements off of fire-formed cases and entered them in QD.) Once I had it entered, I then opened QuickLoad which was able to export the data it needed to do its standard work, e.g., pressures, velocities.

it's a 308 case necked down to 277, and the shoulder is bumped forward at 30'. I'm using 7mm-08 improved data as a starting place, because it's similar case volume.
