I was so distraught over my broken stock RS I drowned myself in finishing my first wildcat. A pre-mil 99 in 270 Redding! This project has been a year of fits and restarts, but as Rory says, it kept me outta the bars. Much encouragement (enabling) from several campfire members (Thanks!). No targets yet, but soon! Wow! what a project! Was the donor a takedown? I have to admit that's a tough one to figure out with the forearm off

Yes Steve, it is quite a project, and I'm quite proud to have it up and running. This was a late 900,??? model F in 308, not a takedown originally. The aluminum forearm hanger is attached to the face of the receiver, the the wood forearm attaches to it, leaving the barrel free floating (!!).

Outstanding choice Jeff. Really anxious to see how it performs for you. This is the cartridge the 270 Titus wants to be when it grows up.
