Spawning colors? I assume they spawn in the fall? The fish I fish for spawn in the spring and none of them with the exception of sunfish get brightly colored.

Browns can color up and get right pretty in the fall, BUT
Wit until he posts a current pic of a nice Brookie, though it may be to late for those to be in full dress breeding color.
