It's a good deal. On sale because they have a newer model; the 64S. I picked one up elsewhere (ebay - new) before their sale for $230, retail was something like $360, and several places are still selling them at retail.

edited to add; Garmin's 62 series also includes the 62
ST which has a topo already on it, but I have read somewhere that the scale of the topo makes it less than useful, except maybe for driving. Also there is the 62
STC; Which has a camera on/in it. Both are of course more money than the 62
S.
*Just caught that you said that it was Cabela's that had them on sale for $199... Sportsman's Warehouse also has them on-sale for the same price. With the big box stores selling them at this price you might check ebay to see if they are beating this price (for a new one of course).
