OP 308ragincajun Campfire Regular 3 Joined: Jan 2014 Posts: 1,013 Louisiana	Today I said goodbye to an old friend. His name was Zorro. He was 1/2 black lab and 1/2 golden retriever, probably with some spaniel in the woodpile. He wasn't much of a gun dog. He was afraid of loud noise and didn't like water too much. I got him from the local classified news paper for $20 15 years ago. He was just the best old dog. Big beautiful brown eyes. He loved me and trusted me. He was the best dog I have ever had. He was my friend. I will miss him. RIP Zorro.

I lost my black lab, Bebe last year. 15 years is a long wonderful life, but I know it makes it that much harder to say goodbye. You have my condolences. I had a 1/2 black lab and a half Golden too. Her name was Ginger, and she was a great hunter. Relentless even in icy water. I paid about the same money, and also found her in the newspaper. Faith and love of others knows no mileage nor bounds. The pup is now 7 1/2 and the best dog ever with my kids but the ones that are gone sure do leave paw prints on your heart.
