Providing that the retailers obeyed the law I don't see the lawsuit going anywhere. It will however cost the retailers to defend themselves. The lawsuit will also continue to fuel the panic buying and hording.

They should be suing the State of Colorado. His shrink called the police and reported him for homicidal threats and they did nothing. The guy had guns, ammo, ,bomb-making stuff and a written plan in his apartment. They could have easily gotten a 72-hour psych hold and a search warrant and nobody dies.

That describes most of the people here. Be careful what you wish for If you don't have a plan to bomb a company or go on a rampage you obviously have never done much retail shopping.
