Question for you .243 Win shooters. What should I reasonably expect for velocity from 85gr Partitions out of a 22 inch barrel? I'm using W785 but would be interested in what y'all use and what you get. Thanks and regards, Woody
Take a kid along.

my favorite powder in the 243 is IMR 4064.
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

With the 85gr. Partition I use H414 and I get around 3200 fps put of a 22 inch barrel. Work up to max, back off a grain and kill game.

I'm shooting the 80 gr TTSX in front of 46.8 gr of Ramshot Hunter for 3415 fps. Absolutely deadly on whitetails and antelope.
P.S. Rifle has a 24" barrel.

You'll max out around 3200 if all goes well, with a Partition.

Ran out of H414 and now use 4350 and like it. Plenty of velocity at top charges.

As a rule, my 80-87 gr. Bullets do best with 4064. 95 gr.-105 gr. get 4350.
This after owning/loading for more 243s than I can honestly remember......

So for 90gr bullets, would you go with 4050 or 4364?
