Now the Journal reports that the development's lender, CIM Group, is taking control of the building through a foreclosure and will auction off the property. Trump�s Fort Lauderdale tower was put on hold indefinitely last month, and a West Palm Beach project could be joining these soon. Construction on a Trump Tower in Toronto is just beginning after years of delays and a reduction in height. And at Trump Tower Chicago, a hotel and condo project set to be the second tallest building in the city after the Sears Tower, 30 percent of the 825 units remain unsold as the condo market begins to slow . Long List!!!The newest thing with Donald Trump's name on it is a lawsuit. New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has filed suit against the unusually blond billionaire, labeling his Trump University a fraud. As many as 5,000 people have paid up to $35,000 to attend the school dating back to 2005. The suit says, "Trump University engaged in deception at every stage of consumers' advancement through costly programs and caused real financial harm." Trump's legal team says the suit is politically motivated since Schneiderman is a Democrat. The parent company, in which Donald Trump has a 10 percent stake, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Sept. 9. Trump Plaza shut down on September 16, costing more than 1,000 people their jobs. The property has been bleeding money for years. The Taj Mahal, one of the largest buildings in New Jersey, could have a future under a different management team even though it too loses money, casino analysts have said. Donald is entertaining and he is certainly correct in his criticisms of Obama, but he is the farthest thing in the world from presidential timber, in part, because he is such a reckless spender. It was amazing last election cycle to see folks jump on his bandwagon simply because they liked his red-meat rhetoric about Obama. Trump licensed his name to the Trump International project in Ft Lauderdale and held no ownership interest in the project. The State of NY Vs Trump University suffered a major blow when the judge ruled in March in favor of Trump's motions. The $40 Million lawsuit was effectively reduced to about $40,000 and the AG is now trying to quietly settle. Trump has a 10% non-controlling interest in Trump Atlantic City and has zero input in the management of the organization. Trump's estimated net worth is $4 Billion, so I'd say he's had a little business success. I don't know anyone that wanted him to run for president.
