I purchased a used set of Sako Optilock ring mounts, not the separate mount and ring arrangement, for my AII.
Fitted them correctly to the rifle, taper of the mounts is correctly matched to the taper of the rifle dovetail.
When finished, the rear mount attaching screw is on the right hand side, while on the forward mount, the screw is on the left hand side.
Every other set of Optilocks I've ever seen the screws are on the same side.
Anyone else come across a similar arrangement ?

Need a picture of screws and bottom of mounts. My Optilock Ringmounts have screws on the right when point the gun as shooting.

It doesn't matter if the front is reversed but if it were mine I'd remount it so they match. They will both be on the bolt handle side if a right handed gun because of the recoil pin on the rear ring.

The base of the mounts are tapered to match the taper of the dovetail, which is how they are currently fitted. Starting to think it's a manufacturing error, will email sako and hear what they have to say.

Mine came with a folded cardboard backer/label within the plastic clamshell packaging. An instruction sheet was folded up inside the cardboard backer/label.

For both front and rear ringmounts, parts (C) wedgelike locking piece, and (D) mounting screw, are mounted on the right side of the rifle.

The rear ringmount should be pushed forward so the recoil stop pin is in firm contact.

The front ringmount should be approximately in the middle of the front mounting rail. Notice that each move of 1 mm forward alters the point of impact about 25-30 mm to the right at a range of 100 m. Move backwards alters the point of impact to the left. Front ringmount should be moved if the windage adjustment of the scope is not enough.

Hope this helps.
