Brown's are nice; Wilson's are more nicer, IMO. I've really found nothing smoother.......of course it doesn't come with an inch & a half guarantee at 50 yds though. MM

I like that! I have a few customs....but still want a Wilson and a Guncrafter Ind.
Wish I could shoot mine "out back" of the house!

I look at it this way, it's hard to know what you prefer with out trying a pretty large group of what ever it is you are trying to settle on. At least that's what I tell my wife. Of course she assured me that theory does NOT apply to women.

[/URL] 5 inch group with a $3K pistol @ 15 yards is kinda sad.

It was an honest observation. Sorry if I hit a nerve. A friend has a Wilson QCB and his groups reflect yours. I remain unimpressed with the dollars spent versus accuracy ratio of the Wilson however you will have many, many years of fun with your new gun. Enjoy your new toy with gusto and consider one of these. http://www.dillonprecision.com/content/p/9/pid/25237/catid/1/Dillon_Square_Deal___039_B__039_

Dint hit a nerve. Wasn't quite sure how to take what you were saying. This gun will shoot much better I'm sure. I'll have to bench it to see what it will do. Always a chance of a dud but I have not found one yet in any of the many semi customs I've owned.

FWIW, Wilson's come with a 1", 25 yd accuracy guarantee & a target.
I've not seen one that wouldn't do it.............
If by chance yours doesn't make it, I imagine they will fix it if you are the original owner.

So does the Kimber Super Match but they're not very popular here at the 24HCF.

Kimbers are a helluva lot more hit & miss in that regard than Wilson, IME...........I've never seen a Kimber accuracy guarantee published. Is it on their website?
I've had several Kimbers with a TLE II still remaining & it's more than good enough, but I've never put it in a Ransom & shooting off hand, either one or two handed, it's not as good as several other 1911's that I own.

I sure hope I didn't start something ugly as it was not my intention to do so.
I believe the KSM still comes with the one inch paper target and guarantee.
Mine is 15+ years old and has run many, many five gallon buckets full of ammo through it with no problems whatsoever.
Kept it clean and lubed and it has done it's part with aplomb.
gunchamp, I apologize if I have hijacked your thread, Sir.

So you didn't really mean to imply that Wilson's were inaccurate pieces of schitt??? Strange choice of words, if not..........just sayin'. Wonder what the comments would have been if a Baer was fired at a high rate with full house loads & the target looked the same? MM

No experience with the Baer, BTW.
