I've been reading some threads on other sites and have seen some data on the 350 mag and AA2015 and AA2460 with pretty damn impressive results from a 20" barrel and 225/250 gr bullets.Anyone have any experience with these powder/bullet combos? Accuracy?

Add AA2230 (the one on which I've settled) to the list of Accurate powders for the .350RM. All three are good fits for the round, and offer the best velocities in component company tested and published loads. Accurate dropped the .350RM from their site, but the Load Books .35R and .350RM book still contains a reprint of Accurate's data. Cast Pics has this scan of an old Accurate guide up, with the loads but no pressure data: http://www.castpics.net/LoadData/Freebies/RM/Accurate/Accurate_1992.pdf

Accurate's impressive numbers are achievable, too. AA2230 capped with 225 Partitions in the .350RM is a very good combo for me.

Mind sharing your rifle specs and load?

I found a data sheet showing 56gr of 2460 achieving 2575fps with a 250PT out of a 20" tube @ 53,000 CUP. That sounds pretty sweet!

Same sheet shows 57gr 2230 @ 2738fps 52,600 CUP.

57.5 gr 2460 @ 2735 fps 52,500 CUP both with 225PT

skybuster20ga,

Rifle is an almost original M600 with its original 18.5" tube.

Those loads look the same as those in the Loadbooks book which are from which I worked with 2230 and 225NPt. My 1.5" and one grain less shouldn't cost much in the .350, but I confess to have not chronographed the load having just relocated my chrono's tripod after the chaos of a long drawn out move.

RiverRider,

You are welcome.

My Model 600 likes 225 Nosler Partitions at 2500 fps to 2540 fps with TAC, 8208 XBR or Reloader 15.

250 Hornady RN and Reloader 15 for 2400 fps is very good.

Groups best with 250 Partitions and enough Benchmark for 2400 fps.

Cheers,
Walt

My 350RM does just fine with AA2015 under 250 Speers and 200 Hdys. It's not as speedy as slower powders such as 15 or 4895, but plenty good for the cart.

I loaded some 225 partitions with 62 gr of r15 60gr of tac. Both run around 2660-2700fps but the tac put all three shots well under an inch while the r15 was about an inch and a half. This rifle does like r15 around 60gr but for 2550fps.

Do these velocities seem right for my 20" barrel or is my chrono full of it...?

You should try some of the barnes 200 tsx. They are making them shorter to load in the 600 mag box and not sacrifice powder space. I've had good luck with R17. Tried TAC but just didn't see the accuracy in my rifle. May have to try the accurate powders.

I run 58.5 grs. of TAC under a Sierra 225 or 220 Speer for a little over 2800 fps with a 20 barrel.

Correction. Had to relook. That would be 2717fps. Sorry for the mistake.
