anyone ever have their smiths do custom mixes of cerakote colors to come up with a new shade? If so, what colors mixed & how did it turn out?

I've mixed quite a few duracoat colors and they turned out great. I'd assume mixing cerakote colors would turn out just as well.

smith doin the cerakote job stopped by the office this afternoon to drop off my rifle...this is Burnt Bronze, mixed 50/50 with shimmer gold...ends up a sand/taupe color but with a metallic sheen to it. will try to get a pic of it in better light.

that one is a model 7 in 250/3000, 20" Pacnor barrel, bought here on the 'fire year or 2 back. i stuck it in an MPI stock that came on a .308 i found as a trade-in at a local shop, rifle is in the low 5# range without glass. sticking a leupold 2x7 on it.

bolt is getting fluted eventually after deer season; after that will have it coated to match.

mixed several colors with their black to darken them a bit.. Titanium and a touch of black works great
