Been packing a Model 7KS in .350 mag for a few years, and its become one of my main go-to guns for timber.
few years ago, i was getting down outa the ladder after an evening hunt..... had popped a doe about an hour before and she fell in her tracks, so i let her lay, thinking i might have a buck pass through. Never happened, so at dark , i'm clipping the gun onto the paracord rope to lower it down, and i get tangled up somehow and down goes that KS in a 20 foot freefall.
SSSSSCHHHHIIITTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!
gun falls muzzle first, and ends up sticking straight into the ground like an arrow. i run down the ladder like a wild squirrel, and pull it outa the ground. crown is intact, barrel not dinged, only had a couple of slight exterior surface scratches. i was damn lucky.
decided last year i'd get the finish upgraded to a full cerakote.
before:
Ti cerakote color...will get a better pic outside, dark in here & doesnt show it, but the Ti has a bit of "sparkle" to it.
