Do any of you have load data for the 6mm-284 using 90-105 grain bullets?

I shoot Hybrid 100V in one with 95 SST's, and IMR 4831 in another with 100 Hornady SPBT.

The Hodgedon site has quite a bit of data.

Thanks for the leads. I have the Hornady manual and that was a start. I hadn't checked the Hodgdon site -- that has more data there. I may give the H100V a try.

I really got into this chambering a couple of years ago. Have three rifles. Using no turn neck chamber with Lapua brass and 210 match primer throughout.

These are close to max or max loads for these rifles work up carefully.

95 gr Berger classic hunter 52 gr of H4350
105 A-max 62 gr of RL-33
100 gr partition 46.5 gr of RL-17
107 Sierra MK 50 gr H4831
107 SMK 48 gr RL-17
107 SMK 57 gr Retumbo
107 SMK 56 gr H-1000
107 SMK 53 gr RL-22
105 Berger match target hybrid 58 gr Retumbo
105 Hybrid 64 gr RL-33. .065" jump to lands Need drop tube

Norma brass, F210 primer, 100gr Hornady RN, 48 grains of IMR 4350. I do not know the velocity but this load appeared to be rather mild. My biggest worry is barrel life on a rifle my grandad made so I'm keeping the loads light. My brother (the better shooter) shot three shots at 125 yards with this load that could be covered with a dime. I recently acquired some 85 grain Speers that I'm going to try. The only reason I used the round nosed bullets was availability. I would think a hornady 100gr spbt could be substituted if you have a fast enough twist.

Happy Shooting!

I have been shooting this combo for many years (hope you have a 1-8" twist barrel), RL22 is the powder most likely to work well have also had good luck with VVN165. H1000 will also work well with 105-107's

Mine is a factory Rem synthetic ADL with a simple rechamber on a 24 inch barrel.

I used Hornady #6 6mm-284 data to work from. The 240 Wea is also of very similar case capacity and data for it can be used as a guide for starting loads.

As a caveat, the Hornady guide shows 45.3 gr of H4831 as a maximum load in the 6mm-284 with a 95 gr bullet at 2900 fps.
Results from my rifle with the 95 gr ballistic tip (Moly coated)are:
48 gr H4831 2950 fps
50 gr H4831 3052 fps
52 gr H4831 3112 fps
54 gr H4831 3331 fps

I use 53.4 as a max load

I am loading moly coated 95 gr BT over 53.4 gr H4831 at 3300 fps. This is the load I send with the kids for deer hunting.

In my rifle the 85 gr Speer spbt or Sierra HPGK make 3400 over 51 gr of RL17. And the 85 gr Sierra HPGK is 3175 fps over 57 gr Magnum

Yeah, pretty close to the .240.

With my .240, I use 100 NPT's. My best load is 53 gr. MRP at 3,250 fps, next best is with Ramshot Magnum. H-4831sc was also very good, especially with 85 gr. NPT.
