I can't wait to take her on her first duck hunt in a few months. She is a sweet heart, and thrives on affection.

Great looking pup!

I see you are using a Dokken Dead Fowl mallard. My Lab absolutely loves the thing- hits the water hard for it, and brings it nicely to hand. Great training tool.

Yeah, she took to the Dokken instantly. I wish I could get it out there even farther. I know they sell a knob to put on the end of the chord, but geesh ya would think they would include that.

I really like shooting the dummy launcher. It would be cool to have a Dokken that would shoot on the launcher, but that Dokken is heavy like a real duck and would be hard to launch. Hmm, .308 blanks? Ha!

They do make duck lookin dummies.
If you want more distance with the hand held launcher, get the hard rubber ones, and use yellow blanks.
It'll go about 125-150 yards.
Buy hilti gun blanks at lowes or a construction supply store.
Way cheaper than the open end blanks they sell for the launchers.
100, for about 6 bucks.
