From there it's about another 4 miles into the property. The road is accessible during the summer by vehicle. There is power about 1.5 miles form the property. This is an agricultural parcel with a 40 acre clearing requirement. It is heavily wooded with spruce and birch and has no wetlands that I know of. This property would be perfect for the farmer/rancher or prepper. ____________________________________________ Was wandering through the Alaska List ads and this one caught my eye because of the sheer size of the chunk. What is the deal? He has to clear 40 acres within 2 years. Was this a homestead contract with the state? Evidently it is fairly close to the Clear Air Force Station.

Working here....could get a goodly number of guided moose hunts for that much money.....I suppose if you just had a stash of cash lying around..... a nice place to die I suppose if "somewhat" of a (cruel/painful) challenge. Maybe you could fence it and offer Texas style moose hunts.  (My Bad; apologies to the good Texans hereabout.)

What does "40 acre clearing requirement" mean? It means a runway with adequate right-of-way! Seriously they probably just want a serious effort at development so it doesn't just sit there.

That's a square mile and more. Think of the "medicinal" pot one could grow. Wonder if they would trade for a 3,000 square foot house in Sterling with an unfinished 32 X40 2-story garage? Divorce not included...
