shot my NAP mechanicals tonight, just selected one head and shot it twice at the target to verify impact was the same as my target points.

both times it didn't open in my target. do I have an issue or not

target is a bag type stuffed with fibers.

Did the head pass through the bag or stay in the bag? If it stayed in the bag are you sure that you didn't "close" it back up when you pulled the arrow out of the bag?

I've never had issues with the NAP 3 blades not opening, but haven't shot the 2 blade.

I think I must be the only archer here that hasn't ever shot slick tricks! I get to shoot a bunch of animals each year (hogs year round and then usually 3-5 deer a season), but I have never used the slick tricks.
I've been in the camp of "don't fix what isn't broken" because I have been pleased with my other heads...but with such crazy support I may have to give them a whirl.

I must admit that my son took a heavy bodied animal last week with a Rage that didn't run 100'.

However, I will stick with my Slicks - 100 gr. wink

Some years back, I did testing on a few of the mechanicals, even shot them for a few years, my wife and I both.

In the end the performance at times was erratic enough to know we'll never do that again.

And its where you hit them that matters with any head, but if you then have to rely on them opening...

See where I'm going... Don't rely on your [bleep] shooting to be helped out by a rage etc... just learn to shoot and hit em right. And thats not a flame, I'm just saying folks get to hung up on this or that and this might be better becuase they might run 10 yards less before falling over.. ain't worth it. Use something proven to work.

And it doesn't have to be sliktricks, but they have worked fine for me too.

We can keep Larry Root and all his idiotic blabber and user names on here, but we can't get Ralph back..... Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over....
