Has anyone has success with these bullets for wild hogs as to good penetration and expansion? I am considering using the 64 gr. bullet at about 2700 fps.

Those hogs I shoot with my AR style 223 can sure take a lot of 55 gr SP Remington or WINCHESTER bullets. They can also soak up a lot of cheap Federal 243 soft point (Speer or ? Sierra). The Hornady interlocks or Siroccos or NPs will sure roll them.

I think you'll lose a lot of hogs
One shot, one kill........ It saves a lot of ammo!

Won't be breaking shoulders on big ones, but IF you can get one of those through the ribs, they will do the job. Would not expect a DRT, though, like a shoulder shot with a heavier, slower bullet. Most of my hogs are shot a pretty close range.

Pigs aren't bullet proof. I've killed a few big boars with 55gr V-maxes. You have to pick your shots or be prepared to pump in the lead.

Shoot them right behind the ear and that's a perfect bullet/caliber choice. Bang-flop.

That is the bullet I load. Have killed a bunch of hogs with no problems. I normally aim between the ear and front shoulder in the neck area. Don't always gets exit but always dead pigs.
