Do they make one or not (for the 42 side)? I am finding conflicting reports via the interweb. It's a FX 3 - a brand new scope.

Paradiddle, I was also looking for 6x42 Alumina covers. I put a signature line here that read something like "WTB Leupold 6x42 Alumina Flip Open Covers", and I put some ads in the classifieds to the same effect. I found a couple of members willing to sell me their used sets.
I like the Aluminas quite a bit more than the other choices available.

Awhile back there was some talk about Leupold making the 42mm version again for the VX-6 2-12x42. You may want to try calling Leupo to find out for sure.

Awhile back there was some talk about Leupold making the 42mm version again for the VX-6 2-12x42. You may want to try calling Leupo to find out for sure. I asked Leupold about this, and the VX-6 covers won't fit on a 6x42. Different threads or something like that.
