100 grain .312" Hornady XTP over 9 grains of Blue Dot in cases converted from Lake City 5.56 cases.
Startlingly similar to this, save only reloaded PRVI brass.

The perfect gun, a 686+ seven shots of pure death-ray. It has a 3 inch barrel, fits right in the pocket of the door to my left. It is handy for grouse out the window as a secondary use...
Springfield .40 XDM 5.25" with three 16rnd magazines. It's my main pistol I wear when outdoors, but it resides in the truck when not being worn. Fairly light and very easy to hit with. Probably the softest-shooting .40 I've ever fired. I also like a semi-auto for automobile duty, as I leave the chamber empty when it's in the console. Kids can't rack a slide.
I keep a magazine of 180gr XTP ammo in it, with a spare close by, and the third magazine is just flat-point plinker stuff in case I don't want to burn my good ammo.
Well, my truck gun had been a scoped Ruger RAR Compact .22 Magnum rifle. But, now it is a Ruger 22/45 with a Burris Fastfire III and backup irons, carried in a soft case with a few magazines. I also keep a big box of .22 LR bulk pack and hearing protection in the truck, so I am ready to go to the range whenever I feel like it.

When we travel I keep my Shield to wear but also have a full size pistol of some sort with a light in the car. First aid kit has a spare mag for the full size pistol.

Glock 19 in the console with a 2 reloads, Sig M11 and 2 reloads in the bag behind the seat with the med kit, water and flashlight.

There you go posting that one again - cost me $729 last time you did that. Then more $ for brass and bullet molds, and a big dent gone from my supply of WW alloy...
never know when you need to jump outa the truck to go investigate something you see in the woods.
the woods were made to carry a rifle
don't keep handguns in the car unless Momma's along and we have one of her handguns, G29 these days, used to be a 629
I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.
Used to be a glock, but now I'm worried about it melting.
You only have to worry about that with those chocolate Rock Island 1911s.

Nice job getting two game violations into one post.

I have noticed that you have an absolutely good sense of wood, which makes me very jealous.
A cheap azz Taurus Millennium Pro 9mm with an extra mag in the console. Don't give a crap if it rusts, and has been 100% reliable for the 700+ rounds I have put through it. If some cull breaks into my truck, I'm not out much
In the Console of my F-150, rides a Glock 31 in 357sig with a Surefire Lazer / Light Combo mounted on it. And 5 extra 15 round mags.
In the side pouch on the driver side door, is a S&W Governor in 45 / 410. First round is a 2.5" .410 skeet load with # 9 shot, and the next 5 rounds are 250gr Speer Golddot HP 45 Colt rounds. The .410 is for killing Rattlesnakes at the Ranch, which is usually at night when I get out to open the gate.
And of course, a .556 AR-15, laying in the back seat for Hogs, Coyotes, or Cans

I don't know how many guns are in my vehicle right now but I can tell you if something needs shooting there is a 99% chance I have the right tool for the job.

Any pistol will be attached to me in a holster. It will always be a Glock, a 19,17 or 23. If I leave a gun in the truck it will be disposable. a RAR223 or Tikka T3 Lite 308 or a Vector Ak w/ folding stock in a tennis racket case for urban travel.

I don't believe in guns in cars, they actively promote violence. Once a gun is present its hypnotic properties will force you to shoot someone that is merely standing there just doing nothing. Carry some nunchucks and learn a blood curdling Ninja scream, folks are terrified of Ninja's.
No way would I carrying a gun in a car, etc. One of the best ways to arm the bad guys is to do that. If you carry on gun it belongs on your person. The other thing is what happens if you step out of the car/truck/SUV and need the gun ? Think you'll have a chance to get to it ? You might not. E
My car guns are in addition to the one I am carrying, not in lieu of it. I lock my car and it has an alarm. To me, it is no different than my house. It is not like it is really tough to break into a typical American house.

For you young guys that don't know what a brick of ammo is, it's from back in the olden days when you could get a whole big box of 22lr with 500!!!!!! Rounds in it. And can you believe they only cost about $20:)

We used those in the USAF. They worked pretty well with the full size 20" barrel M16s, but for the M4 we just put them in the door pocket. With the stock at its shortest position and the 14" barrel it fit and stayed really well.
I just augment more ammo for what I am carrying. I run with a Glock 22 most of the time and I keep two extra 33 round mags in the car and a pair of 30 round AR mags. Both spares are loaded with ball ammo, I figure if I get through 15 without solving the problem more penetration might be beneficial. Also it give me a little plinking ammo if I decide to stop someplace.

VI, if you're talking about Scherer 30-rd .40 mags, don't trust them! Treat yourself to a few Glock OEM 22-rd G22 mags. They work great!
