Very nice Andre! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> I love my light weight 12 guage Franco-Belgian gun. Its barreled action was probably made in Liege and then with was finished in St. Etienne and then sold in Paris by a gunshop in the 1950-60 under the shops name (but with the maker on the flats). 2-3/4, imp-mod, 27-1/2 barrels, articulated front trigger. One season she did everything from ruffed grouse and a Canada good in Alaska, to driven partridge and pheasant just south of Paris!

Typically one of two SxS's, an Arrizaga 16 bore sidelock or a Prandelli & Gasparini 20 bore boxlock.

I've gone to one upland gun in the last 5 years or so. It's a Citori Lightning Feather, 12 ga, 26" barrels, IC (rarely SK)/M Briley choke tubes. Of all the guns I've used, this one fits me and my hunting best so the others stay home now.

For doves and ruffed grouse a Franchi AL 48 28ga W/skeet choke, Fed premium copper 8's (I bought a bunch cheap). For Sharptails, huns, and pheasents until Thanksgiving a 20ga 302 26" fixed IC or 303 Beretta 28" IC screw in, 1oz Winchester copper #5's. For late season roosters (Dec and early Jan) a 12ga 302 30"fixed to IM or 303 26" W/Briley IC, 1 3/8oz 4.25dram Fed Premium copper #4's or #5's.
All of this over a very willing English Cocker!!

My favorite right now is an older Antonio Zoli Grey Eagle. It has 2 triggers and extractors, which I am finding I like more and more. Weagle

Over the years I have had some sweet shooting shotguns...Had an old model 37 Winchester that was always good for a Turkey at Thanksgiving. Remington wingmaster 12 ga., Ithica's in model 37 and 51 featherlites. But the Browning Gold Hunter I have now shoots everything better than any shotgun i've ever had. 000 Buckshot at 50 yards (with a dirty barrel) 10 out of 10 in a 16" area. Its put trophies on the mantel. and bacon wrapped dove breast on my grill. And some south Georgia Bobwhites as big as softballs in my frying pan. Yep old "Moses" will stay in my safe for a long time.

For those Maine partridge a Winchester 101 28 ga. choked Sk/Sk. If I really want a challenge I'll use one of my Model 42s (I have 5 of them) in various chokes.

Too bad I don't hunt much in Maine cause those Maine partridge are my speed. Thats because they usually try to escape by walking. Now their little head does go back and forth but........
The last one I got there was with my 7mm RM and it lost it's head. Thats all we got for a long weekend up there. I ate the white meat of course and one guy went thru the trouble of cooking the innards such as the liver, heart ect.
All guns should be locked up when not in use!

For quail it is a Ruger Red Label in 20 g with 26" tube. For pen raised pheasant and rabbit hunting it is a 1958 Win model 12 in 16 g. For late season pheasant and other game Benelli SBEII in 12 g with a 24" tube.
