The short action .308Win Browning A-Bolt this is going on obviously gives more latitude in mounting options. In that regard, nearly all of the reviewers seem to praise it, as one of the best lightweight variable scope options for short action rifles. Last edited by John_in_MS; 10/08/14.

It looks like the ocular is shorter on the bottom rifle(shorter objective as well?) and I thought maybe it was a VX III but both boxes say VX3 so who knows. FWIW, top rifle has a newer VX3. The bases do limit you some with positioning due to objective bell and power ring clearances, but they work fine for me. No problem at all with barrel clearance.
