You've inspired me! Think I'll do the same!

He's a [bleep] moron, that has no idea what he is doing. And isn't sure whether he is too lim wristed to competently shoot a 300 Win Mag

The bullet should be about 1.5"-2" high at 100yards, zero at 200 and about 7" low at 300yards. He is trying to flatten out trajectory by using 200yrd zero instead of 100 yard zero.

Have been recovering from shoulder surgery, if I can get out this year I'm going to give the 1953 .308 Featherweight a try.

That sure is a beauty. You need to put a McMillan with a 1" pachmayr on that rifle and it will soak up that recoil very well and be easier on the shoulder. That sure is a clean fwt. Very nice!!!

Nice Augie, I've got nearly the same rifle, a 1953 M70FW in 308 WIN. I don't hunt this one, it has a vintage Redfield peepsight and I can barely see through a scope early/late! Very nice Supergrade FRST. Odessa

Only 4 as I will not shoot a calf and I have had to let many a cow go by that I could have easily downed except I have never been fortunate enough to draw a cow tag .
You know I have never felt undergunned while some of my buddies have to carry the latest super magnum and factory fodder to match.

To give the pre 64's a rest break I have been playing with 2 7STW Laredos out to 500, it is almost to easy, I found a case of Fed Prem 160 gr, accubombs and 2 boxes of 140 gr rem core locs to have the brass so as to reload, the factory shoots so good I may not reload. One gun is BOSS, the recoil less ,I have not tuned with the BOSS yet,I just set it half way and shot away, the non BOSS gun is a tad tighter shooting as of now. I will post photos.these guns are not walking guns, heavy truck axle barrels! I have a custom shop sporting sharpshooter on the way home from Oregon45 that has a smaller Schneider barrel that will be a little lighter, handier. If the gun shoots like the other custom shop guns I have worked with it will be a nail driver.
