I recently acquired a 5 digit NIB Model 70 Classic in .270 WBY. I plan to use it as a hunting rig.
Ive never shot it yet but I have few questions and Im looking for feedback from owners.
-How is accuracy?
-Are these throated similar to Weatherby Mark 5 rifles? i.e. longer throat.
-How do they shoot with factory Weatherby ammo?

I have/had one it shot well with rl22 and 140gr accubonds I loaded up for it. I have a 270 wsm so I had no need for it.

Federal loaded 140 trophy bonded tip shoots good out of the two i've been around.

Not a Classic, but I've got a 270 Wby XTR with a Leupold VX III 2 3/4x10 scope that shoots Weatherby ammo in a couple different weights into 1" at 100 yds. I haven't taken time to load for it as I don't shoot much any more. I wish I was still hunting antelope in Wyoming, but unlikely at my age.  Enjoy yours. yooper
