Had a long session yesterday with my 45-2+7/8 Shiloh and pulled a 200 yd shot way right {Forgot I had the trigger set}..The 510 gr PP took the 12" gong and stand outta the ground for a five foot back flip.Guess a few repairs are now on the radar.. grin

Well centered, nice job for a snap shot. laugh

Some years ago a friend of mine was deer hunting with a #1 that had a Keplinger set trigger. I'd suggested that he might not need to use that feature for hunting, but he is sometimes hammerheaded. Along comes a forkhorn, he's following with the scope and for some reason decided to raise his cheek on the stock and look at the deer with both eyes. Boom, flop, right thru the neck.

Being lucky is sometimes better than being good.

Almost Forgot!!!!! Don't feel bad Woody, I was kneeling for a shot with My Sharps at the last hog kill, engaged the set trigger on the way down, slipped in the mud and BOOMMM. laugh

Ole Scopebite416 thought I leveled a shot on the side of the hill on purpose to try and stampede that herd of barn sour hogs to make it more sporting laugh laugh

The first time I went to Quemado, I sat down & started happily ringing the gong with my bull barreled AR(which is quite accurate). The last shot I hit the rope holding the gong. Somebody said, "Show-off!" I just smiled and let them think I hit it on purpose.

grinAbout 16 years ago I was shooting my 45/110 using a tree about 10" in diameter to hold my target at 125 yards. After about 8 shots the fugggin tree broke and fell over grin

ET, that reminds me of another tree story. South end of the A Shau Valley and there was a tree/log laid across a small creek so Charlie could move expeditiously on his trail network. Had the gunner put about 20 rounds thru in with the M60 and we left. Next day, the log was broken and there was a bunch of litter in the form of clothing and other odds and ends down stream. Would have paid handsome money to have had a trail cam video of what transpired, if for no other reason than I'm not totally up to speed on Vietnamese cursing.
