This rifle packs like a kids .22, but shoots like a big boys rifle! Package deal, no splitting up this setup.

rear sight replaced with correct one since this photo.

A very hard to find Remington model 25 in a carbine with the short barrel, straight grip, and in 25-20 cartridge. Broken down, this thing would easily fit in a daypack. It comes with everything I have accumulated for it. Brass, bullets, dies, and loaded ammo both factory and my reloads all in plastic boxes. This rifle is very accurate, fires and feeds perfectly. Even has the very unique front and rear sights.

This gun shoots great, and I promise you won't give you any grief! It's one of those rifles I can't find a real need for living where there's so little small game and no coyotes to speak of. It'd be perfect for head shooting turkeys, rabbits, or what have you. Just a joy to carry as it weighs nothing. Would be great for a woman or a kid to learn to shoot with, or to pack in the mountains in your pack or on a private airplane as a survival gun. It has vintage sling studs for use with a sling.

No problems mechanically, and cosmetically it's got the right wear in the right places to look nice. It has some sort of work done on top behind the receiver, looks like it was painted or patched where the tang sight would have been mounted. It never bothered me.

Comes with all the accessories shown. About 210 rounds of ammo, about 90 rounds brass, RCBS dies, 200 bullets. Complete 25-20 package and a cool rifle to boot. $850 shipped (firm) for everything. Might trade for something interesting, can't hurt to ask.

This 25R (the carbine version) is impossible to find in this kind of shape. You won't see another.

Most of them (and that isn't very many) were in .32-20 and sold to jails and banks for guard rifles, so a .25-20 is "even less common." (I never say "rare.").

My dad was given one by a neighbor after we had a lot of guns stolen. The guy at the gun shop said it was worth $1250 also. My kids love it now. It carries like a Red Rider.

Sorry Teach64, but I already discussed this with all my critters, no Misses, and they didn't say no. It will feel right at home with my other 25/20's.
