New to me rifle needs a peep. It's a 1985 vintage the best I can tell, Original Golden 39A, w/o safety.
What's ya got?

Does your rifle have the two mounting screws on the left side of the receiver?
Marlins had them through most of the years of production, but later models don't. I had to have them drilled and tapped on a post-2000 M336.

Mine does have the side holes. Very new to me but got it with a scope that seemed out of place. Eyes greatly prefer a peep over the open sights. The Skinner sight sure looks good to me. I'll have to look up anything offered. Anyways, not seeking a real high dollar solution.

Don't know what kind of $$ you're willing to spend, but good aperture sights aren't dirt cheap, unless you luck into a deal. At the extreme end of such things, the tang sight on my lever silhouette rifle cost almost as much as the rifle. Paul

I think the Skinner, Lyman, or Williams offerings are plenty good enough.
Thanks Paul, lngrng, OldBrownDog.
Now where's that bargain to luck into? Oh, pretty sure a tang sight is not what I want....

I have this one from Brownells:
Williams 962-000-069WB FP-39TM Receiver Sight fits Marlin 39A*** Mfr Part: 70807
they want $62, I would ship for $50. Mounted once, never used or sighted in.
Let me know, thanks, Bill

this mounts to top of receiver, in scope base hole, not on side of receiver.

Thanks Bill, I believe that fitment is for cross-bolt rifles only.
Appreciate everyone's input. A Redfield or steel Lyman would be nice. Might go Williams FP TK for the eaze of adjustability....
