In my opinion it is a pretty steep price to pay for a free license.
But I so like the fact that I don't have to purchase another hunting, fishing or trapping license.

hell if you're like me Mike, they've got enough fees from bison tags and other hunts I've never drawn I oughta have a free license from here to eternity! Hate to guess how many licenses I prepaid over the years!

I'm with you Phil. Thinking there's nothing free about it - it's earned! I'm thinking the guys who came up with the 'sliding into the grave hooting a big yehaw' must be too young to yet have earned a clue.  (Or-else they plan to make a very premature exit.  ) New knees cost a lot more than a lifetime's licenses; same for lots of other things too I suppose. . . . . and I'm still a couple shy of 'free'.

General harvest tickets/registration hunts yes. $5 fee for some draw opportunities, $10 for others. Now Bender's gonna be able to afford more applications.... dammit! The competition is getting stiffer all the time - I just hope his knees lock up before mine do.
