Seems she always catches bigger fish than you do.

Since ingwe broke the ice here is a picture of an opening day pronghorn from Wyoming. The hunter had not hunted them for the last 26 years.

As an expat that has been working in Sweden for the past three years. I have been lucky enough to take some very nice trophies in the past few seasons but a nice bull moose has eluded me. I took a week off to try to get it done but no luck so far. Been on five moose this week but only cows, calves and one small bull. Trying to hunt them solo like I grew up doing out west for elk and blacktails in the timber. I found a shed from a thee year old bull that is still on the property but haven't been able to spot him yet. He would be worth looking at this year. I sat on a stand until dark last night. I could hear something large working in the forest but couldn't tell if it was moose or boar. Having three roe deer does within 100 yards for over an hour I had good wind but whatever it was would not break the tree line. In the last couple minutes of shooting light a respectable 6 point roebuck came in to 30 yards. An easy shot and quick drag made it too hard not to pull the trigger so I settled on the buck for the evening. Back out for the bull in the morning. Skitjakt!

Yes it is.
It belongs to my Swedish hunting partner whom has been gracious enough to make it available to me for the duration of my stay. So foreign yet warmly familiar when compared to my rifles back in the states. It is accurate, handles well and is well suited to hunting then entire globe. The workmanship, fit and finish are impeccable. I have been very successful with it so it has a permanent place in my heart.

It depends on the terrain a particular herd inhabits. I have taken them with a handgun at 50 yds and as far as 930 yds with a rifle. I was out this weekend and had them anywhere for 300 yds to 750 yds. Too warm to shoot one as I did not have a cooler with me. Hopefully next weekend.

How's this for Swedish fish?
[Linked Image]

I took this salmon (lax) earlier this year from Lake Vanern in Sweden. The largest lake in the EU.

Gutted out it weighed 5.7kilos = 12.5lbs. I figure live weight was around 15lbs...
