Just picked up a Ruger Hawkeye in 338 Federal. Couple of questions.

Im planning on sizing Federal Gold Medal Match 308 brass to use. Has anyone had any problems doing this?

Does anyone have any loads they would like to share? Im planning on using Reloader 15 since I have a good supply of it and I just picked up some 200 Speer bullets.

I used that same 308 brass for quite awhile with no issues. Eventually went to Lapua 308 brass and then factory 338 Fed brass once it became available.

308 brass will work fine, military brass might be a bit different, so checks loads with that. XBR 8208 works best for me.

Post up on the good loads thread how RL 15 works with the Speers. TAC or 8208 have been great with 200s for me.

I had a Hawkeye in .338 Federal and it shot darn good with factory ammo. I would have loved to have shot some reloads through it. I really regret selling that rifle!

Where did you find that rifle? They are very very hard to come by and are priced accordingly.
