Will triple 7 fffg shoot the same as the ffg in my cva inline FRom what I'm reading it's the same powder just smaller in size it says up to 50 cal rifles. It was my fault I picked it up this morning and saw it when I got home any help would be apprec.

If you have been using 2FG, try reducing the load of 3FG by about 10%. I prefer 3FG even in a 54cal but your gun will tell you what it prefers .

3f is fine for a 50cal inline. I always start 10 grains below than what I was using with 2f.

Thanks I called hodgdon they said that the triple f will have more vel.that by actual weight 71.9 grains will be 100 gr by vol. and it will be fine He also said that he uses the triple f in his muzzle loader because of the vel. Gain . Thanks for the reply

I use t7 3f in my White Inline 50 and my Lyman Great Plain Side Lock 54 , much better than 2f

If you ever have to call CVA CS....DONT tell them you used 3FG. They are strongly against using it in a 50cal and it may void any implied warranty.
I called and asked.
Ive used it many times though without any problems. I like it better than 2FG myself.
