Our Parliament is back in session after the shooting rampage yesterday. Just curious, but was Mr Vickers armed as part of his official role, or was he carrying as a private citizen? One of the US newspapers said he went to his office, got a weapon, then went back out to kill the terrorist.

A Canadian caller on Rush said he guard who was killed had dummy rounds and was there due to previous incidents of vandalism to the monument.
He also says the press is generally being pretty badly PC and not blaming Islamic terrorism.
The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time by the blood of patriots and tyrants.

We in the US have been lead to believe guns in Canada are a no-no but it is far from the truth. Canadians can and do own and use firearms including handguns. The are more restricted across the country than they are in much of the US but in many cases not as much as in NYC and DC.
