What about this one?

It's been a while since this was brought up so I figured we could rile up the usual crowd. whistle

Have killed 4-5 deer and a coyote via Tac/70 TSXs. Works extremely well every time.....

I got the 62gr TSX up to 3000fps with TAC tonight. Will test accuracy the next time I go out.

The 64gr BSB wasn't the fastest with Benchmark but the accuracy was real good. I think I hit 2850fps.

Going to scrub the barrel and give the TSX a thorough test. The 53gr TSX are phenomenal from this same set up with Benchmark. Hoping the 62gr do the same accuracy wise.

I have had better luck with BM in my 222 than TAC and TAC is like my favorite powder in the world.

I wouldn't use the 22 cal TSX. I have seen a few pencil through. The Nosler looks good though.

It might if you don't find yourself some brass.

Plenty of LC brass and commercial brass in the reloading room. I am saving the Lapua brass for the bolt guns.

The Remington 7 1/2 primers are really nice, very consistent velocity. I just picked these up a few weeks ago at $35/1000.

I love benchmark in my 223s. I can push a 75gr Amax at 2950 with stellar accuracy. I run the lighter weights with it also in the bolts and ARs. I was hoping for about 3000fps with the BSB and Benchmark but came up short. First time using TAC and as pressure rose the velocity spreads shrank up considerably. Looking forward to this weekend.

For the heavy bullets I much prefer Varget over BM.

I don't run much under under 62gr these days in my 223s.

TAC seems to be very good from 60-70 grains. BM with lighter stuff and Varget with heavys........

Just checked my AR-15 70 TSX deer loads. RRA Predator, 20" tube.

24gr. TAC

24gr. Varget

Both with Fed 205M and Lake City brass and loaded long as magazine allows @ 2.268". It works.....

Bolt gun is generally loaded with TAC and SMKs wearing a T36. But this time it had 62TSXs and a V16. It worked as well. Twice...

I see no reason either of those combos wouldn't work. Varget and 65 grain SGKs have done fine for me. Put the bullet where it should go and don't ask too much of it, and a whitetail dies.

I have not tried the Nosler bonded boolits, but I do plan on trying the 60 grain partitions this year. I have 55 grain Triple Shocks that I have never loaded/tried, but have seen 3 deer drop to them out of a 223 with exits on all.
