when I work anywhere where I need to stand on concrete or hard ground, I would throw my keens, red wings and tony lamas in the garbage. you can't beat a nicks or whites for that.

my hoffmans are easily the strongest shanked boots ever built. I can stand my 250lb arse on a ladder rung all day without fatigue.

they all do something better and worse than the rest, be it support, weight or cost. pick it based on the application.

You've said it all (IMHO), my friend. Well said.

Definitely considering those..

Yeah, I noticed that too.

That doesn't take much - considering your IQ..

A prime example of whining right there.. You really DO earn the title "dipstick"..

Unreal - I never noticed that thread... Sorry..

They're not worn every day - in fact for the first 5-7 years they were worn only on some hunting trips (due to the insulation factor) and when removing snow from the driveway etc..

They actually still look pretty good but the interior is beginning to fail.

Yeah - about the same here..

Well, I'm headed to the cities this am - returning a bag to the HD shop (first time I've EVER returned a HD item - but the anchoring straps are as worthless as Rancho Loco) so I'll stop at Cabelas, Gander Mtn and a few other places to see what they have..

Chippewa, Georgia, Danner, Red Wing, etc., all fall into what I'm considering.

Thanks all for the tips/advice - except for the dipstick, of course.. smile

I'll be sure to clue you in - since you're clueless in general..

Montana has good people there - you move in from CA?? I guess, since you're determined to make an azz outta yourself, I'd have to say you're succeeding beyond your wildest dreams..
