I kept sourdough "mother" around in my kitchen for YEARS...

It made great pancakes (or waffles) and tasty bread as well, but it also became a "chore" keeping it "alive"... so I stopped "feeding" it and let it die.

Frankly, I don't "miss" it all that much... no "biggie" either way.

It's smart to hang around old guys 'cause they know lotsa stuff...

Neal you inspired me to make my world famous Eggs Benedict using zucchini/yellow squash cakes. Man were they good. Building up to waffles.

made waffles the other day. Just a pedestrian recipe. Nothing fancy. I did drown one in butter and pure cane syrup, the other in butter and Tupelo honey.
Amazing combination, waffles, butter and syrup or honey. laugh

Looks good Sam. Just received some of this season's water Tupelo honey.

I snapped a pic of my eggs B but was in such a hurry to eat it was blurred. And I so wanted to post 'cos the vege cakes are so much more appealing than an english muffin!

Guess I will just have to make them again tomorrow!! laugh
