Should be a 1952 rifle, last 250/300 receivers were about 100,000 higher than that in 1957.
I'd say it's a 99RS if it's never been mucked with. Great find!

That is a beautiful rifle but I'll be blunt, I'll believe there was a true post war RS when I see a label or letter that says RS on it. Great pick up either way Jed.

I can think of a few (mistakes) that I resented buying. Sold some for less than I paid. "It's the price of tuition" my pop used to tell. Don't keep stuff around long when I get resentment looking at it.
