Please put a slight cheekpiece on it, with a high straight comb.
Good examples to look at would be the Forbes stock and the Remington KS pattern, and the Brown Precision classic pattern.

Tom: I'd like to see the mini-chassis with a universal SA inlet, so a guy can run a M-700, Definance, Stiller or any of the variations without worrying about the bolt release location and bolt handle configuration.
I'd also like to see a T5A with a trimmed A3 style front end. Love the thumbhole, but not the bulk.

Hey guys, I don't frequent here much but came across this thread while doing a search for a comparison between the EH2 and EH3 stocks. I am having a hard time deciding which one will be the best for me. I am planning on dropping a Remington 700 S/A in 300wsm into one of these two stocks. It will be a go everywhere hunting rifle. A lot of my shots are from the prone position, but shooting off hand isn't out of the question. Scope will be a 4.5-14x50 LR CDS Leupold on a seekins rail and I will keep it mounted as low as possible. I noticed it looks like the eh2 has a more vertical butt pad while the eh3 looks a little more angled. Is that reality, or is it just the pictures on the website that make it look like that? Thanks for any insight you guys have.

EH3 has a more open grip. I had an EH2 and liked everything about the stock except the grip. If I were doing it again, I'd go with the EH3.

Thanks for the reply. Do they shoulder any differently? Or is the grip and cheek piece the main difference?

The EH3 is a more trim stock all the way around. The EH2 is comparable in size to the McMillan HTG.

I just started on a more tradition mountain style stock with a open grip, round bottom and a little narrower forend. Should have a few pics in about a month. Thank you very much, Tom, you know this is on our calendar. I hope its progressing!

Also after hearing what some of the guys here would like to see, I just started on a more tradition mountain style stock with a open grip, round bottom and a little narrower forend. Should have a few pics in about a month. Thank you very much, Tom, Just make a dupe of the Remington KS stock & all will be right in the world; slim, round forend, open grip, cheekpiece. MM

After owning quite a few stocks and seeing the pics posted here and on other threads, I definitely have a need that should be filled.
I would like to see a lightweight hunting stock made with a comb that is high enough to get a good cheek weld when a 50mm objective scope is mounted on a 20 MOA picatinny rail.
I really hate to put a friggin' "backpack" or "purse" on the stock to raise the comb. Many of the pics posted have the damn things on there and look like chit..... as do all of mine that I have to do that to. Sucks.

....... Brown Precision classic pattern. Ditto. Slim for end, not too short, high straight comb, and slim grip. Can't wait to see it!
The 280 Remington is overbore.
The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.

Hi Guys, The design is done, we actually started laying up the molds last week. I should be able to have some photos of the plug in about a week. Thank you very much,

Great! Anxious for the pics and specs! The lack of pictures and specifications at this time suggests that Mr. Manners is aware of how to successfully market on internet forums like this... I think this may be called "The Teasing Phase"... However, understanding does not make one immune -- and I am looking forward to seeing the new one myself. John
